Mr. Hankey is in Stiches!

Just saw this article over at BoingBoing. This company is selling patterns so that you can knit your own Mr. Hankey toy! Kinda makes me wish I knew how to knit. If anyone out there is interested in making me one of these, I'll buy the pattern and materials, and perhaps throw in some extra cash to cover the time.

Mr. Hankey is still by far one of the best "Christmas Mascots" to ever come around... even giving Santa a run for his money!

You can purchase the pattern yourself by visiting this store.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert

The concert last night was amazing. This year, due to not being sure where I was going to be last night, I was a little late in purchasing my tickets. It was really a last minute thing, if you cound a few days after Thanksgiving being last minute for a concert last night. :) I ended up getting seats in the nosebleed section of the Scottrade Center. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - December 27,2006Not only was it in the nosebleed section, but it was the very top row of the entire auditorium! I took a quick snapshot with my camera phone, though it didn't come out very well.

The concert, as usual, was simply amazing. By far the best show on earth! As usual in recent years, they kicked off with "Wizards of Winter", then moved into the "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" storyline. I did miss the snowfall that you get from being on the floor, but it was still spectacular to see it snowing indoors. I will have to admit as well, the lasers and lights were pretty amazing from a distance. Overall, the concert was great, and I'm already looking forward to attending the show next year.

The Insomniac Dreamer

Wow. I'm doing this again. Strangely, it's a move going back to where I originally started. After going through MySpace, and giving LiveJournal and WordPress a run, I have to say, I like Blogger best. So, I'm back home.

The Insomniac Dreamer has been a title I've given myself for the blogging world since I got started with it about 4 years ago. While, I'm still quite a dreamer, the insomniac title doesn't cover me nearly as much anymore. Gone are the restless, and sleepless nights. Recently, if I haven't been getting the full 8 hours, my body pretty much doesn't want to cooperate the next day. But alas, there's a different way to look at it. Dreams usually happen when you are asleep, and lately, dreams have been far and few for me. So, in a way, with the lack of dreams, I am an insomniac dreamer. :) Okay, I know. Far fetched.

This will be my public forum. Somewhere to put whatever's on my mind. Local events, life events, national news items... whatever. So, stop by to see whatever's on my mind at the time! I hope you enjoy!
